Hello Super Cute!
In this tutorial you will learn how to decorate some beautiful Thanksgiving Napkins with Silhouette Cameo. If you have a Cricut, Brother or some other cutting plotter machine, you can use the format supported by your software and follow the tutorial.

When you download a design file from the Library, it automatically downloads in SVG, Ai, DXF, Studio3, and Webp formats.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how the finished napkins look using the design template that I have free for you, plus I’ll give you a summary of the process.

Materials and Accessories
- Silhouette Cameo 4
- Standard grip adhesive cutting mat
- Automatic Blade (AutoBlade) or 1mm manual blade
- Matte Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV): I used mustard, light pink, and wine brown colors
- Rectangular napkins made of striped fabric
- Heat Press: I used EasyPress 2 from Cricut*
- Press Mat: I used Cricut’s EasyPress Mat**
- Spatula, hook, scraper and ruler (Silhouette accessories)
- Rubber roller
- Free Design Template – Download it at the bottom of this article by clicking here.
With domestic iron:
- Parchment paper
- Domestic iron
- Towel
*If you do not have this element you can use a domestic iron.
**If you do not have this element you can use a towel.
Note: Remember to wash the garments before transferring the heat vinyl. In addition to “mirroring” the designs before cutting them put the heat transfer vinyl in the machine, glossy side down and dull side up.
Transfer Process
Preheat the napkin before transferring the design, specifically the area where you will transfer the vinyl. This will remove moisture and improve the adhesion of the HTV.
Use a sticky roller to remove lint from the fabric and improve the adhesion of the vinyl.
Place the design on the napkin symmetrically, and help yourself with a ruler… You don’t want a crooked design!
Begin the transfer of the design in layers, using the heat press according to the directions and settings in the Cricut Heat Guide.
Remember to protect the HTV layers that are already transferred on the napkin with the support material that you previously removed, in order to prevent the heat press from deteriorating it.
Tip: Remember to strip (remove the support material from the HTV) as recommended in the Cricut Heat Guide.
Repeat these same steps with the other napkins until you get the number of units you want to be decorated!
